These stories take children on from simple stories with only twenty-eight words in large print on one side of an A4 page to longer stories with over 500 words taking up both sides of an A4 page. They were designed to be used as a single sheet so that they could be used where reading books might not be available, and so that children could gain a sense of achievement at having finished reading a complete story.
